Nigeria's Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami (pictured), announced that the government is working to launch a program to train 1 million developers in the country over the next 18 months.

The training will be implemented by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and will target both professionals and those without experience.

At this same event, the Minister launched an appeal to digital players to support this cause. “We want to see how we can authorize some of you to provide these services. This means that if I develop software, I must consult with a certified tester to ensure that I pass standard quality assurances, all basic bugs and vulnerability assessment before I can sell this software ,” he said. -he indicates.
