SWITZERLAND -- The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) will be the first African organization to host Africa Business Day (ABD) come 25 June 2021 when the 2021 edition of the event will take place.
The event which will be held virtually will once again be under the patronage of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO.
Commenting on Afreximbank hosting this year’s event, Verena Utzinger, President, Swiss-African Business Circle (SABC) says: “We are delighted to have Afreximbank onboard as the host of the 2021 edition.”
She added: “Having such a high calibre organization hosting the event will certainly enrich the quality of discussions by incorporating a Pan-African perspective. This forms part of our broader objective to include African private sector facilitators into our activities.”

The 2nd virtual edition of the Africa Business Day will bring together more than 300 participants from over 30 countries with an interest in Swiss-African business relations.
The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is a Pan-African multilateral financial institution with the mandate of financing and promoting intra-and extra-African trade. It was established in October 1993 and owned by African governments, the African Development Bank and other African multilateral financial institutions as well as African and non-African public and private investors.
