Ethiopia: Private Colleges in Web of Violation of Accreditation and Permit Rules

[Addis Fortune] A recent random audit performed by the Higher Education Relevance & Quality Agency found 46 private higher education institutions and campuses were in violation of their accreditation, and some 27 of them were operating even without permits. The Agency shut down some campuses and is looking for ways to place the affected students in other colleges. While the Agency puts the blame on the colleges, experts and the private institutions say the Agency was part of the problem as well, reports KALEAB GIRMA,
